Got a call from a number I don't recognise, didn’t pick up. Looking it up now and seems like it’s a scammer.

They kept calling my 92 year old mum, saying they had tried to contact her before and that she'd be disconnected in two days if she didn’t get back to them. Mum couldn’t quite understand what they meant because her hearing isn’t great. It really upset her and honestly, it annoys me so much that they’re disturbing her calm like that!

About ten minutes back I got a robo call telling me my IP address had been hacked in loads of countries. The lady, Shirley, said I should press 1 to talk to their tech expert. I didn’t bother, too fishy. Total scam alert. Just a heads up though, when they start threatening to cut off your internet, some folks might panic and fall for it. Don’t trust it!

Called by 'Shirley' saying my IP address was hacked and my internet would get cut off. Total bollocks if you ask me! Pretty sure it was a recorded message too. This is the third time this bloody week I've got this dodgy call. Definitely a scam.

i got a call from someone with an american accent claiming to be from bt, saying my internet would be cut off within a day. problem is, i’m not even a bt customer! seriously, these scammers need to be cracked down on hard by the authorities. the whole telephone preference service thing is pretty useless at stopping these annoying calls or doing anything about them. they should either give it real authority or just scrap it and replace it with something way better and more effective at stopping scammers.
