Sounds like a dodgy scam to me. Got a call from someone called "Sophie" claiming to be with Smart Save Solutions, which I thought had closed down back in 2017. She said they were transferring a 25-year warranty to a new company, EcoSmart Solar, which apparently only got registered this October 29th 2025. Oddly, their director is some 19-year-old Romanian bloke named Alexandru Tudurachi. Then "Sophie" asked if an engineer, Jason Reeves, could come round to "inspect the installation." Felt very fishy if you ask me.

They claimed to be with a solar firm taking over from Smart Save Solutions, which I heard had collapsed. Apparently, after some legal stuff, they were handling all the previous warranties. They said they needed to visit to inspect our solar panels to keep the 15-year warranty valid. I said I’d ring them back, but when I searched the number later, it showed up as a scam.
