For the past four years, this number has been pestering me with calls, incessantly asking for a Mr Bannister. I've kindly informed them on numerous occasions that they've got the wrong number. Occasionally, they offer an apology, but more often than not, they cut me off mid-sentence with a harsh slam of the phone. Now, I've taken to telling them to shove off and blocking their number, though it appears they have a penchant for ringing me from different lines. To be honest, I haven’t a clue who these people are.

I picked up my phone, and it felt like I was on the line with a bustling call centre-definitely some sort of public space noise in the background. But before I got a chance to say anything, the call dropped. Quite strange, really!
