7 yearsI recently had an encounter with a chap who rang from this number, claiming to be a BT technician trying to assist me with my internet issues. He managed to convince me to install some remote access software, which raised my suspicions when he subsequently asked me for the identification number linked to it. At that juncture, I had a strong feeling this was a phishing attempt and told him I wasn’t convinced he was genuinely from BT. Despite his insistence, he bizarrely threatened to shut down my entire internet connection if I didn’t comply with his requests. I promptly ended the call, but to my surprise, he rang me back from a different number to reiterate his threats. In total, I received three calls, all starting with 01375.
