Got a call with a recorded voice saying my Amazon Prime membership would automatically renew for £39.99 and if I wanted to stop it, to press 1. The voice sounded almost exactly like the one Visa uses. I didn’t press any button, instead I noted down the number from 1471 and tried calling it back, but the number didn’t go through.

Got a call from 01375090785 saying my bank had been charged £39.99 for Amazon Prime. They told me if I wasn’t signed up, press 1 to cancel it. Reckon it was dodgy, so I didn’t press anything. I rang Amazon’s official number, which costs 13p a min, just to check and yep, it was a scam. Don’t fall for it!
