Saw this number pop up as if it was local, so I called back but turns out it’s not even real. Had a chat with BT, and they told me it’s a scam. I’ve blocked the number now. BT also flagged it as a scam attempt to hack into my internet.

Got a call from a local-looking number and they claimed to be from BT. They said someone was on my broadband but I told them there's no way since my password is secure. They just hung up after that. I've already reported it to BT because it definitely felt fishy.
