Like others have said here, this bloke claimed he was from an energy firm. He mentioned that I had loft insulation installed just last year. Looks like he might’ve got my info from some government scheme records about old insulation in homes. He tried saying the insulation was dangerous. I told him no official body had ever told me that and I’d expect them to replace it at no cost. He then said there’d be a fee, so I told him I wasn’t interested and hung up. Oh well, another unknown number off my phone - but at least now I can block these pests. Lovely!

A man rang my landline and actually knew my name. He was going on about Energy stuff, so I quickly told him I’m on the TPS list and he shouldn’t be cold calling me. He didn’t apologise at all, just suddenly ended the call. Well, that number’s now blocked on my CPR system.

I've noticed a right nuisance with calls regarding loft insulation and eco-friendly energy solutions - they all seem to be ringing from those 01202 numbers. When you try reaching out to the 01373 number provided, a voice tells you to get in touch with the head office at 01202 287035. Funny thing is, that number is no longer in use! It’s clearly a dodgy operation. My tactic? I tell them to “hold on a sec” and then place my phone down on the sofa while I go about my business for a good while. If they’re going to waste my time, I’ll certainly make sure to return the favour!

I rang back and the recorded message said it was Green Roof, with a national helpline at 01202 287305. Then shortly after, I got another call from 01667 6792589 - that number seemed a bit strange, longer than usual, so I didnt pick up. Could be nothing though?

This landline is linked to the mobile number 07933992193, both belonging to the same firm selling loft insulation. Right after I told the person on the mobile to bugger off, mentioned that I’m on the TPS list, and that they were wasting their time, I hung up. But then they rang me straight away again on my landline, trying to mask their voice. Being a bit of an actor myself, I told them I wasn’t fooled, and they ended the call. Typical!

My dad, who's 96, got a call from this number about needing new loft insulation. Problem is, his loft was done about six or seven years ago. Because he's deaf, he didn't get their name or number, but I spotted the number on his phone call list. They set up a time to call back, which made me quite uneasy. We tried to get in touch with them but couldn't, so dad asked a mate to stay with him when they were meant to come around. No one showed up, which was a bit of a relief. But honestly, how come these people can target elderly folks like this? It's just not right.

TPS got back to me saying the call came from a company called ECO Roof Ltd and they’ve asked them to look into the breach and reply in writing. If you’re also on the TPS list, please report any calls from this number. All complaints will be sent on to the Information Commissioners Office (ICO), who can fine companies that break these rules!

Annoyingly relentless and completely unwelcome. I avoided picking up, but did ring back once to request removal from their calling list, yet all I reached was an answering machine. They’ve branded themselves as “Green Roof” and provided a supposed head office number-01202 287035-that’s apparently been disconnected. My phone lacks the function to block these nuisances. It’s simply maddening! There’s no way I’d consider giving them any of my business.

Got a call today around 2.42pm. A lady claimed she was a local assessor for the postcode XXXX. I cut her off and asked what exactly does a postcode need assessing for? :) She got a bit snappy and went on, saying "If you'd just listen, I'm one of the assessors for postcode XXXX and our files say you've got fibreglass insulation in your attic." Initially, I thought it would be a good idea to let him come round in a few days, but now I'm having second thoughts about his motives. I’ve been trying to cancel this appointment after seeing other people's experiences, but I can't seem to find any contact details. So, to the gentleman who contacted me, please consider this my request to cancel the visit on Thursday - I’m no longer interested and your trip will be in vain. somerset energy efficiency or whatever their name is. claimed to be a firm with access to government funding (or so they said) and wanted to carry out a survey about fitting insulation. when I asked how they got my details, they only said it's from some list. I told them I never asked for info so it was a cold call and actually illegal. were they apologetic? not really. watch out! the product might have approval but that doesn't mean the installer is legit or it's worth the money. this is like the sixth time I've had one of these so called great offers.

Got a ring from this number just now. No one spoke but there was loads of background noise, sounded like a busy call centre or summat.

This morning, around half ten, I received a phone call from a lady claiming to represent Oxford City Council. She informed me that they were conducting checks on loft insulation to ensure it met current standards. She even had my address on hand and mentioned that fibreglass insulation is now considered outdated since it tends to shrink over time. Apparently, they were offering government grants to upgrade such insulation. She mentioned that her "manager" would be in touch with me to schedule an assessment at my home. Shortly after, I received a call from a chap named Jack Burton on 01202 900437, who arranged for a visit tomorrow at half ten. Thankfully, I had taken the time to verify both numbers, and it soon became clear they were not affiliated with the council at all. I attempted to return the call to the second number, which initially seemed unresponsive, but just as I was about to leave a voicemail, someone picked up. I've now gone ahead and cancelled that appointment.

Got a call today from someone claiming to be hmrc, said i shouldn’t ignore it and to ring them back. obviously didn’t fall for it, hmrc always sends a letter if theres anything important.

I got a call from this number claiming they were from hmrc and said we were being taken to court. They told me to press 1 to talk to the case officer. It sounded fishy to me since I thought hmrc usually sends letters instead of calling. Probably a scam.

phoned me this afternoon - didnt say anything but you could tell it was from an office because of the noise in the background. pretty sure it was a marketing call, probs an illegal one since my number is on the tps list.
