Got a robo call saying my internet’d be cut off in a few hours, and that I had to press one to chat with the tech team about keeping the service going or getting a new router. They never actually said which internet provider they were from though. I’d have thought my usual company would give me way more warning than that. Feels like some new version of an old scam to me.

I got a robotic call telling me my internet was gonna be cut off in a few hours unless I arranged to keep it going, even mentioning getting a new router. It asked me to press one to get through to the "technical department" of my internet supplier, but nowhere did it say which company. It felt odd because surely the real provider would give more warning than that. Sounds like a dodgy scam trying a new angle to me.
