Received a dodgy call claiming to be from British Telecom. The person on the other end blasted an airhorn, which left me with quite the headache! Avoid at all costs!

Just checked my answerphone, and it played what seemed like a scripted farewell message. Quite odd, really!

Beware of BT Openreach; it seems like a right con!

I picked up the call, but there was silence on the line until I eventually heard a pre-recorded message saying, “thank you, goodbye.” I dialled 1471 to find out who it was, managed to snag the number, but when I tried calling it back, it indicated that the number wasn’t recognised. Quite the peculiar experience!
