2 yearsGot a call from someone called Sameer saying he was ringing from EE with some kind of discount offer. It’s funny because I work for EE and have a company phone, so why would they call me? I asked where he was based and he gave me BT’s HQ address, which is easily found online - and oddly enough, that's exactly where I work! I then asked which floor he was on, suggesting I could swing by and have a chat in person. This went on for about five minutes until he suddenly snapped that I was wasting his time and hung up. Proper scammer behaviour, no honesty whatsoever.SameerEEBT2 yearsJust another sales caller, I have no interest in what they’re peddling.2 yearsSomeone rang up saying they could lower my EE bill - problem is, I’m not even an EE customer. Pretty obvious it was a con.EE2 yearsEvery time I pick up, all I hear is "Goodbye" before the phone hangs up. I've gotten loads of calls like this and it definitely seems dodgy.2 yearsI received a call from a woman earlier today, her number being 01372 898048. She identified herself as being with 3 and first enquired about my monthly bill. After I shared my current plan, she mentioned she could reduce it to £21.99 each month. She then directed me to a chap named Steve, whose number was 02078630582. He requested quite a bit of personal information, although thankfully, he didn't ask for my banking details. He assured me an email would follow. Unfortunately, that email never arrived. He later reached out again, claiming that 3 had just sent a verification code to my phone, which I then relayed to him. Even after that, he still couldn’t manage to send me the promised email. Ultimately, he stated that he wouldn’t proceed with changing my plan and abruptly ended the call.Steve32 yearsGot a call from someone saying they were my energy provider but it was a total con. They asked for my personal info which felt very dodgy. Definitely a scam.2 yearsSome bloke rang me saying he was from EE, saying I could get a discount since I pay my bills on time. He wanted my email, but I didn’t give it. Told him if he was legit he’d already know my info and just ended the call.EE2 yearsTotal rip off, watch out!2 yearsDefinitely a scam, watch out!2 yearsGot a call supposedly from EE offering a 30% off my bill since I’m always punctual with payments. Could’ve been legit but with all the scams these days, I just said thanks and ended the call.EE2 yearsLooks like this number has been ringing others too, saying they can give discounts on EE bills. They called me saying they had a special deal for me, since I’m with O2 and a “loyal customer.” I ended the call pretty quickly before they asked for any personal info, but honestly it feels like a scam to me.EE2 yearsThis one definitely seemed dodgy. They already had my number but then wanted my email to "send a reward" for paying my EE bill promptly. Obviously, I made up some rubbish email like [email protected] and they just ended the call. Still, I got them chatting for like 5 minutes on a quiet day, so can’t complain too much haha!EESubmit Your Own Report (01372 898048)
