Someone rang me up asking for me by my name, saying she was Sarah, the Area Coordinator for Crime & Safety. The call seemed to come from Esher in Surrey, but I’m actually based way north of London, over 100 miles away. When I called the number back (with my number hidden), it went straight to an answer service for CR Marketing. Pretty sure it’s a scam.

Seemed like one of those call centre calls. They asked if I was ******* (name). When I tried to find out who was on the other end, the phone just cut off.

I didn’t pick up, but there was a voicemail saying something about the caller being in pain. No clue who it was.

I didn’t pick up as I didn’t know the number but decided to call back hiding my caller ID to find out who it was. It went to voicemail and the message said it was from a company named CR Marketing. The person’s voice sounded British, but when I checked online, the only CR Marketing I found was in Michigan, USA, which felt a bit dodgy. I’m pretty sure it’s a scam.

I've signed up for the telephone preference service, so I shouldnt be getting any adverts calls. Only a handful of my closest mates have this number since ive just moved and got a new one. A Facebook friend got a call from this number and reckoned it was a scam. Looking at everything, it really seems like a scam to me.

Got a call from Becky claiming to be from Home Security. Told her I’m registered on the TPS and asked to be taken off their calling list, plus wanted a confirmation of this. She wouldn’t share her last name. I asked for the company's full name and address, and also the name of her manager. She said her supervisor was Amy Hailey and gave me the company address - 54 Bridge Street HR5 3DJ. Also gave me another number 01992 877343. Checked that number and it’s flagged as possibly linked to scams.
