I received a call from someone posing as HMRC, trying to extort a hefty sum from me.

I had a rather suspicious call the other day. There was a pause of about three seconds with no one speaking on the other end before the line cut off on its own. Just the typical tactics of a scam caller, I reckon!

Got a voicemail saying that my internet would get disconnected unless I pressed 1 to talk to someone. Sounded like one of those premium rate scams, so I didn’t press anything and just ended the call straight away. Really dodgy, so best just to hang up if you get it.
