The chap even mentioned that he could see error messages on my computer - which, let's be honest, is something every device seems to have at some point! He then tried to persuade me to let him install a so-called special antivirus application to "fix" everything. However, what he was actually after was a method to install malware, giving him the keys to my computer. This would allow him to pilfer my financial details and personal passwords, or worse, lock my computer entirely and then demand a ransom to restore it.
