been getting calls about some visa scam, saying they'll take £900 straight from my account. this story pops up all the time lately.

Got a call from someone claiming they were Virgin Media, but I'm on a BT Landline. They said my internet was running slow and wanted to run some checks. I told them to ring back later so I could confirm with Virgin first. They said they wouldn't call randomly to do tests. Later on, he called me back on his mobile and I told him straight up I thought it was a scam, but he kept insisting he wasn’t. Still, I’d say it’s better to be cautious and treat this kind of call as risky.
