This number called me saying they were from Sky, but I didn't let the guy talk for long after he said that.

Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent claiming he was from BT. He messed up my name when saying it, then kept saying sorry when I corrected him. He said he was ringing from London, but the number didn’t match any London code. I asked where their call centre was, he said Newgate Street, so I joked if it was near that old Newgate Prison - you know, the place where debtors were locked up ages ago. He just ended the call after that. Definitely a dodgy call, so I've blocked the number now.

Got a call real early, all quiet on the other end - just one of those annoying wake-up calls.

I received a call claiming that my internet would be cut off imminently! When I mentioned that it seemed like a scam, the chap on the other end began to raise his voice, repeatedly demanding, "Do you really want to lose your internet?" At that point, I decided it was best to end the call.

I got a call from someone claiming to be from a fraud team, but they didn’t seem to have much info. They somehow knew our surname but didn’t know where we lived or even my first name! I’d be really careful with calls like this - it feels like a total scam. Please don’t get caught out like I almost did.
