When I said hi, there was this awkward pause before anyone answered, which made me feel uneasy right away. Then this guy said he was from BT. I just answered with “no thanks” and ended the call. I’m familiar with the area code he called from and I’m pretty sure there isn’t a BT office nearby, so my gut told me it was probably a scam. Didn’t even bother giving them a second chance.
