Someone rang to say my TV insurance had expired. (Which makes sense, considering the telly is more than 10 years old.) Before he started his usual spiel about new insurance deals, I just said I wasn’t interested and hung up. It’s the same old scam I’ve had loads of times before about insuring household appliances.

Got a call about extending my freezer warranty for another couple of years. Seriously, what’s the point of signing up for TPS if these companies just ignore it? Do they even check the no-call lists? Anyway, I’ve blocked the number straight away.

Yet another one of those annoying calls that don’t bother leaving a message if you dont answer. Lucky for us, our phone shows who’s ringing, so we just ignore numbers we dont know and save ourselves the hassle.

Got a call from some woman - name sounded like Karen, but her English was way off - claiming to be from Home Appliances. She said she noticed I hadn’t filed a boiler claim in ages. Thing is, I don’t have any insurance on my boiler at all, so I figured it’s just a scam. When I started grilling her with questions, she just cut the call.

I received a phone call earlier from someone who introduced themselves as being with "White Goods... (repairs or something like that)." They mentioned that my fridge's warranty had lapsed and offered to extend it for another two years. I expressed my uncertainty about the company and how I’m not covered by them. At that point, they just disconnected the call. Quite dodgy, if you ask me!

Got a call on my landline from an unknown number, didn’t pick up as I didn’t recognise it, and there was no voicemail left. Around an hour later, I got a call from a private number which I answered. The person claimed to be a police officer from London, saying they’d just arrested someone who allegedly used my card to make a purchase worth a few hundred pounds. He knew my name and address though. When I asked for proof and a number to call back, he immediately hung up. I contacted my bank and no unusual activity showed up, so I’m pretty sure it was a dodgy scam call.

Got a call from an Asian woman saying my washing machine warranty had run out but they could offer a two-year cover. I told her my washing machine didn’t even have a warranty and just hung up. Could hear loads of background noise like a busy call centre. Didn’t catch the company name she mentioned properly. Feels like a total scam to me. Number was 01371 606087.

That number was unfamiliar to me so I ignored the call. They didn’t leave any voicemail. Feels like it might be one of those scam calls.

Got a phone call from a lady with an Asian accent who said her name was "Anna". She claimed my washing machine guarantee had run out and tried to sell me a renewal. When I said NO, she hesitated for a moment, then asked why I wasn’t interested. I just told her simply that I didn’t want it. There was a long silence before I decided to hang up. I enjoy messing about with these SCAM CALLERS!

They said they were from 'White Goods Repair'. The bloke used a really British sounding name but had a heavy Asian accent. Not rude or anything, but kept pushing even after I told him I wasn't keen, so I just hung up.

Total scam call! An Indian woman rang me up, and I’m baffled as to how she had my name. She was pushing some sort of offer, but I didn't stick around to find out. I cut the call without a second thought. Honestly, only close friends and family should really have my number!

So this person called saying my washing machine insurance had run out and that they had some kind of special deal for me. Funny thing is, I don’t even have a washing machine right now, plus I haven’t had it insured in ages!! I just told them goodbye straight away!!

Got a call about my washing machine warranty running out even though it’s been more than two years since I bought it. They tried pushing one of those extra warranty plans. Honestly, don’t get sucked in - just hang up straight away.

The next time they call, why not give a good, hearty blow of a whistle into the receiver? It’s a bonkers idea, but it might be worth sharing with all your mates!

The number was unfamiliar, so we just didn’t pick up. Later, there was a voicemail from them saying to call back and an agent would assist us. Even then, we decided to keep ignoring it.

A woman with an accent I couldn't place called, claiming she wanted to prolong the warranty on my washing machine - though I didn’t catch the brand she mentioned, and it definitely wasn’t mine. I quickly spotted it was a scam. I told her my machine was a Beko, then she said she was actually offering an extension on that model! Since I’ve had my washing machine since 2010, that just confirmed to me she was dodgy!

Got a call from someone called 'Alice' telling me my washing machine warranty was nearly up and asking if I wanted to renew it. Thing is, I’ve had that washer without any kind of warranty since way before I shifted to this flat - so I pretty much knew it was a dodgy sales pitch right off the bat.

Got a call from a guy called Henry Clark with an Indian accent, asking for me by name. He said my washing machine warranty was nearly up. When he asked what brand the washing machine was, he mentioned Bosch. Trouble is, we don't own a Bosch machine or have any warranty on it. Pretty fishy!

Got a call from someone saying they wanted to sell me an extended warranty for my washing machine. They kicked off with "We are..." but never really said who they were representing. Quite annoying how they kept pushing even though I wasn’t interested.
