Had a caller the other day stating they were there to assist with my broadband upload issues and insisted I download TeamViewer. I pretended to go along with it for a fair bit before eventually cutting the conversation short. It all felt rather dodgy to me, if I’m honest.

Just had a rather unsettling phone call from a lady named Angelina, who apparently had an oriental accent. She asked me to conduct a speed test for my internet connection. According to her, my upload speed was a measly 65 Mbps or less, which she claimed needed urgent fixing. Then, she urged me to let her access my computer via TeamViewer. Naturally, I decided to hang up on that nonsense. Lo and behold, a mere five minutes later, another call came through from the number 01375402358. This time, it was a bloke named Martin Jordan with what sounded like a Chinese accent, trying the same dodgy trick. When I confronted him about the scam, his tone turned very aggressive quite quickly. Absolutely alarming, if you ask me!
