I got a recorded female voice saying it was a really urgent call from BT. Apparently, there’s been some weird activity on my internet address and they said my internet services would be cut off. It then told me to press ‘1’ to speak to someone or ‘2’ to end the call. I just ended it straight away. My internet is actually through TalkTalk, and from what I’ve read BT doesn’t do these calls. Plus, I reckon pressing ‘2’ to hang up probably does something sneaky for the scammers, since you’d just end it anyway, wouldn’t you?
