Something alike happened to me too. There was this robot voice claiming my internet was at risk, asking me to press 1 if I was with BT or 2 if I used another company. That’s what gave it away - like, they should already know if I was with BT or not. Over the past day, I’ve gotten this call 3 times but from different phone numbers each time. The message never changed. The other numbers were 02059993214 and 01856972745.

I got this automated call with a woman speaking in an American accent, pretending to be from the British Telecom tech team. She said my internet was gonna be cut off unless I hit 1 to chat with a technician. Naturally, I ignored it, and you can guess, my internet’s still working fine.
