Got a call from this number on 21st February, sounded like someone from the subcontinent. Can't quite remember the details but it was something about my phone or PC probably. Interestingly, on the very same day, there was a brief 40-second call from our phone to 118023, which cost us £7.09, but I have no idea who made that call.

I got a call from a very pushy lady with a pretty thick accent claiming she was from BT, saying my router was being downloaded or something. I asked her a few times what that even meant, but all she did was repeat the same thing without any real explanation. I was about to leave for a dentist appointment and told her I couldn’t chat, which seemed to annoy her a lot. She kept insisting she’d ring me back the next day. I think she did try calling again, but I didn’t pick up. I made sure to report it to BT and they seemed glad I let them know about it.

Got a call from this number twice, once tonight and once just before. Both times, complete silence on the other end. Blocked it now.

Got a call from an unknown number today and wasn’t sure who it was. Did a quick search online and ended up on this website, so I just hung up straight away.

Had almost the same call before - some guy with an Asian accent saying he’s from BT saying my phone line was compromised. I told him I wasn’t even a BT customer but he just kept on going. Asked me to look at the lights on my router, speaking quite forcefully. Got fed up and just ended the call. No clue how he found my landline number either.

I really hope the people calling from Asia take a look at these reviews. The problem with some international Asian callers is they think we’re all mugs. We definitely aren't. Not every household has BT or even a wi-fi router. Seriously, Ofcom needs to see this and act against these annoying, dodgy calls. Anyone from Ofcom watching? Please say something.

Got a call from someone with an Asian accent who said he was 'Daniel Smith' from BT Security. He told me my router had been compromised and that my neighbours or random people were nicking my personal info. I told him there’s no way that’s true and showed him he was talking rubbish. They try to get remote access to your PC pretending to help, but it’s total nonsense. Don’t fall for it at all. Then he had the nerve to call me a “f***ing b*****d”. What a scammer!

Someone kept ringin but I never picked up since I dont have an answer machine. After a while it just gave up. I saw some other comments and it looks like it’s linked to BT, cause I spoke with their customer service last week and got passed around a few times. I reckon that’s when they noted down my number.

This number called me again and I can confirm it's a total SCAM! They claim to be from BT saying your computer or wifi hub is hacked but it’s all rubbish to trick you into giving your details! The voice sounded to me like it was Asian and my phone showed it as an international number. Don’t trust them, stay safe!

I got a call from this number, and the bloke claimed he was with BT. He asked if I was aware someone had hacked my wireless. When I said no, he then went on to ask if he could fu## my daughter? Utterly bizarre and disturbing!

Honestly, if this number rings me one more time, I’m just gonna switch my phone off! They say you gotta pay the phone company to stop these annoying sales or scam calls - and I’m wondering, is it really worth it? Seems like just extra cash for them! I received a call from someone who clearly didn't have English as their primary language, and they attempted to push some sort of scam on me. I quickly interrupted them and promptly blocked the number. What a shocking lack of decency!

On the 24th of February, 2017, at around half eleven in the morning, I received a call on my landline from the number listed above. The caller, a woman with a strong accent that wasn't English, claimed to represent BT's customer service. She alarmingly informed me that my internet connection had been compromised and that it would cease to function within 48 hours unless I took immediate action. Her so-called solution involved me logging onto my computer so she could guide me through some dubious steps to avert this supposed disaster.

I got a phone call from someone with an asian accent who said they were from BT and told me there was an issue with my internet connection. I told them everything was fine, and suddenly she shouted “how do you know that” a few times then just cut me off!

Like others have said, I got a call from a really pushy woman with an Asian accent - sounded like she might’ve been from India or Pakistan, definitely not East Asian. What annoyed me more was she kept going on even though I told her I don’t have BT internet any longer. In the end, I just had to hang up on her.

Got a ring from this number claiming my internet had been hacked. The bloke giving me the spiel said his name was Steve Martin and mentioned 81 Newgate Street, with the number 01369 450104. Sounded like a right joke to me with a name like that - total scam vibes. Switched my internet provider last year, no way I’m going back to BT (unless they were throwing cash my way, then maybe!).

I'm fed up with incessant calls from this number! In a moment of mischief, I thought I’d turn the tables and ring the number back while concealing my own. I even planned to give them a taste of their own medicine with some rather unflattering remarks. However, I was met with a message saying the number had switched to 118023. Realising it was a premium rate number, I thought better of returning the call. A quick search online unveiled a plethora of warnings from others who’d fallen victim to scams associated with it. I had a couple of calls from this number earlier today-one first thing this morning and another around half two in the afternoon. Oddly enough, both times there was complete silence on the other end. I was under the impression that silent calls were something of a no-no these days. It might be worth flagging this issue to the proper channels.
