I've received two calls today from what sounded like an automated message claiming to be from the TalkTalk technical team. The message warned that my internet connection was on the verge of being cut off and prompted me to press 1 to speak to someone or 2 to proceed with the disconnection. After a brief pause, the line suddenly went dead. Given that I'm not even a TalkTalk customer, it’s clear this is a scam.
