In a moment of sheer folly, I found myself picking up the phone - a rather insistent caller claimed to be from a company named MTT, though my search yielded no results online. According to her, they were ringing on behalf of "Age UK." I reminded her that I’m on the Telephone Preference Service list and that they ought to verify their calls before pestering me. Not surprisingly, she continued her nattering, but truth be told, the whole thing felt quite dodgy. I reiterated that their ringing me was against the rules, and just like that, she terminated the call!
