Got a call from some woman saying she was from BT tech support, telling me my internet was compromised! Total scam, I reckon.

I got a call from a woman with an accent who claimed to be calling on behalf of BT. She told me someone had hacked into my phone line and that was why my internet was running slow. I didn’t really believe her and ended the call. She rang back two more times and was quite persistent, trying hard to convince me she was genuine.
