I’m in the same boat as someone else here. My elderly mum gets confused, answers the phone, then rings back loads of times like 22 times! It’s really putting a strain on her finances. Does anyone know if you can block numbers on a landline? Would be a huge help.

This number came up as making calls, but my nan is 95 and has dementia - she never uses the phone. What's weird is, two of the calls allegedly happened when I was with her! I reported it to BT, and thankfully they ended up refunding her.

My phone bill shows that I’ve been ringing this number monthly, around the 6th, 7th or 8th, at exactly 23:14, for about 22 seconds each time. The thing is, I’m definitely not making these calls. I got in touch with BT, but they couldn’t figure out what’s going on.

I spotted a strange number on my phone bill showing calls made to them three times. I knew I hadn’t made those calls, so I contacted my network and managed to get a refund. I also took it a step further and reported the incident to Action Fraud.

these folks keep calling my mum and she ends up calling them back, which is causing our phone bill to skyrocket. my mum has alzheimer’s and it’s really upsetting to see her being bothered like this. she’s in her eighties, and it feels like they’re just harassing an elderly woman. if this doesn’t stop soon, i’m definitely going to report them to the police. i’ll be reaching out to these people myself to tell them to stop contacting her straight away.
