What a dodgy call! The person on the other end had a thick accent, making it rather difficult to grasp what they were saying. They claimed to be from BT, going on about significant issues with both my internet and phone lines, which honestly sounded a bit fishy and could potentially compromise my system. They kept pushing me to turn on my laptop so they could guide me through some so-called repairs. The kicker? I’m not even a BT customer! When I mentioned that my nephew is a computer whiz, their response was a dismissive "oh right" before they abruptly disconnected. When I attempted to return the call, I was met with a message stating that the number was nonexistent. Definitely not right!

I got a call from a man with a foreign accent, maybe Pakistani, claiming he was from BT about my internet. I told him straight away, "You’re not really from BT, are you?" then asked him his real company's name and his own. I don’t even have BT broadband, so it was suspicious. Suddenly he snapped, swore at me, and hung up. There should be some way to report these numbers so companies like BT can block them, especially ones pretending to be local but actually coming from abroad. It’d be great if calls from overseas got stopped right when they hit the UK exchange.

Total scam alert. The caller had a thick foreign accent that was nearly impossible to follow. They claimed to be from BT, warning me about serious issues with my internet and phone lines that could supposedly damage my system. They asked me to switch on my laptop so they could guide me through fixing it. I told them I’m not a BT customer, and mentioned my nephew is a computer engineer. They just said “oh, okay” and then cut the call. I tried calling the number back but got a message saying “sorry, the number you have dialled does not exist."

A supposed BT technician claimed that we would be without internet in just a couple of hours. When I mentioned that we actually have multiple PCs, he seemed quite flustered. I even asked him how much they rake in from these dodgy scams, and lo and behold, he hung up straight away. The guy’s grasp of English was abysmal and he completely floundered when I queried why he insisted our internet would go down, considering there wasn't a thing wrong with my computer. Honestly, I enjoy dragging these conversations out just to see how they react!

Hello there, I received a call from this number earlier today. The caller had a foreign accent, and when I mentioned that I wasn't able to access the internet on this line, she became quite rude and started swearing. It was absolutely appalling behaviour, to say the least!

So I called back but no answer, then tried using 1471 to find out the number but it just said “please hang up.” When I tried ringing again it didn’t go through. Dialled the same number directly and it said the number couldn’t be reached - really strange.

TOTAL SCAM.
I could barely grasp what they were saying due to their thick foreign accent. They claimed to be representatives from BT, insisting there were severe issues with my internet and phone connections that could potentially damage my system. They attempted to get me to power up my laptop so they could guide me through some sort of fix.

The problem is, I’m not even a BT customer! When I casually mentioned my nephew works in IT, they abruptly replied with an "oh, right," and cut the call.

Afterwards, I tried to ring the number back, only to be met with the message “Sorry, the number you’ve dialled does not exist.” What a con!

I received a call purporting to be from BT, but it’s clearly a scam. They were inquiring about my internet security, yet I’m actually with Virgin. Let me tell you, my connection is as secure as it gets! These callers are simply out to con money from unsuspecting folks, and it’s high time something was done about it.

Got a call from someone saying they were from BT, claiming my computer's got loads of errors. They offered to help fix it if I switched on my computer. Told them I’m not a BT customer and when they asked for my account number, they just dropped the call. Definitely felt like a scam.

Whenever I try calling that number back, it doesn't show up. Got a prank caller on the line who was hinting at some kind of threat about money stuff. Bit dodgy, really.
