I got a call yesterday from someone who didn’t sound local, and I reckon they called me about a week before that as well. When I answered this time, I asked, “Is that Martin? How’s things?” and then they just hung up straight away!

Got a call from some bloke claiming to be from "Windows," saying my PC had issues that needed fixing. When I asked which computer they meant, they just hung up on me. Yesterday, got a similar call, no number shown on 1471, and this one said it was from Microsoft. Total scam, so don't share any info with these muppets.

They give the usual spiel like they're calling from BT, saying your device is riddled with viruses or has some serious problem. They'll pull out typical Windows error codes to convince you it's legit and try to sneak in remote access to your computer. Once they've got control, they might either use your PC for dodgy stuff or, more often, demand cash to unlock files they've supposedly locked themselves. Definitely worth flagging it to BT.

I got a call from someone with an Indian accent saying they were from BT, telling me my internet was being used by someone else. They wanted me to download this TeamViewer thing so they could get into my PC. There was loads of noise in the background, with other voices saying similar stuff. I put the phone down but they stayed on the line for about 20 minutes. When I finally ended the call, they promptly called back three times straight away.

Got a call from someone with an Indian accent saying they were from BT. When my dad, who’s a bit old fashioned, said "I'll bring my son," they quickly ended the call. Definitely sounds like one of those dodgy scams to me.

Got a call from someone saying they were with BT internet. They claimed my connection had loads of errors and that multiple folks were connected to my IP. Told me to turn on my computer so they could guide me through the error report and fix it by accessing it remotely! I rang my actual internet provider - not BT - and they told me this was totally fake.

I gave them a bell, but nobody uttered a word, so I decided to hang up. Likely just another scam call, I reckon.

I keep getting loads of foreign scam calls, so I’ve ended up blocking all calls from abroad. Yesterday, it kicked off with someone pretending to be from Windows support, and today it’s been the BT tech team giving it a go. Proper annoying having to deal with all these fake numbers ringing constantly.

Got a call from someone claiming to be BT tech support saying my router was infected with malware and viruses. I told them I don’t even own a computer and that BT never calls customers about such things. As soon as I said that, they ended the call. Definitely a scam, so watch out!

I got silence when I answered, then after a short pause, some sort of robot voice came on just to say "Goodbye."
