Got a call from someone claiming to be BT, saying there was a problem with the internet. The call was to an elderly couple who got really upset since they don’t even have internet at their place.

I've gotten quite a few calls from people saying they're from BT, saying they can give me a refund if my internet’s running slow, and then they ask to take over my laptop remotely. This all started happening right after I switched my landline over to BT. Feels pretty dodgy to me.

So, I got a call from someone claiming to be from BT saying that my internet had been hacked by something like 30 people or more. When I told her I wasn't the main person who uses the account, she just ignored it and tried to convince me by giving some 24-digit code, saying it was proof she was legit. Then she asked me to switch on a device so she could fix everything. I wasn't buying it and ended the call straight away. Oh, and she had a noticeable foreign accent too.

Watch out, got a call about some problem with my internet. Told the bloke to jog on straight away. Total scam, don't trust it.
