Just got a call from someone claiming to be from BT internet, trying to scam me into giving access to my computer. Sounds like they're funding dodgy stuff - proper dangerous. Don’t let them get a foot in the door, but if you do answer, act like you’re clueless about computers and keep ‘em on the line for ages. Thank them loads for their “support” and when they ask about the screen, make up some rude nonsense and tell them off nicely. Keep ’em baffled and don’t fall for their tricks!

Im from Devon and got a call from 01356698697 earlier today. They didnt bother to leave any message or anything. Ive had my number on the TPS list for ages now, so its pretty annoying. Seems like these scammers or some dodgy data collectors are just abusing the phone system way too much. Im seriously considerin reporting it to my MP or someone.

Got a call much like the one mentioned above, saying my internet would be down for 10 days. Now I’m trying to get hold of BT to let them know about it.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from BT, saying there were strangers logging onto my internet without my say so. They asked me to give them access to my computer, but there’s no way I was falling for that!

I dunno who called me since my number's not listed. Tried ringing them back but couldn't get through. Was actually waiting for someone else to call though.

Got a call from someone with a strong accent who just blurted out, “Can you hear me, you bloody idiot?” Needless to say, they've been blocked now.

This number is linked to 0800800150, which I know is dodgy. Today, it wasn’t BT Openreach but Virgin claiming there’s an issue with our internet. I told the guy I didn’t want to talk and he got really irritated. I ended up just hanging up since loads of folks say these calls are scams. Funny thing is, they switched the company name from the last time I got a call. Also, the lad who called said his name was Eric this time, but last time he said he was Paul. Proper fishy behaviour.
