9 yearsGot a call from some bloke with an Indian accent who claimed he had a refund cheque for me. He knew my name and address already, which caught me off guard. Wanted my date of birth too, and when I told him to just send the cheque first, he got a bit rude. It only got worse when I said it was the holidays and I probably wouldn’t get it until after Christmas. So I told him I’d give my date of birth after the holidays - yeah right! I’m so over these annoying calls. Reported them to all sorts but police don’t seem bothered, even though they say they do. The only ones who actually got back to me were my building society (top marks to them). Makes me worry about elderly folks who might fall for it and hand over their details. She kept pressing me for my date of birth. When I asked for more info about the issue, she got annoyed and kept demanding my DOB several times.
