However, when he asked for my date of birth, and I suggested he dispatch the cheque first, he became somewhat irate. Things escalated when I explained it was the festive season and the cheque wouldn't reach me until after Christmas. I had a bit of a laugh and told him I'd share my date of birth only after the holidays! Honestly, I'm quite tired of these sorts of calls. I've reported this to various authorities, but the police don’t seem to be too bothered, despite their claims of vigilance. The only response I’ve had was from my building society-kudos to them! I can only imagine how many vulnerable individuals might inadvertently share their personal info with these callers, which is incredibly frustrating.9 yearsI received a rather intrusive call from a woman with an accent, who claimed there were some questionable transactions linked to my bank account. She ominously knew my name and address and insisted on getting my date of birth. When I pressed her for more information, she became quite angry and kept demanding my date of birth.
