I picked up, there was a pause and then a lady with an Asian accent asked if Mr Forename Surname was available. I told her he wasn’t around right now and she just ended the call straight away. A proper call would’ve probably asked when he’d be available or offered to leave a message. From now on, that’s exactly how I’ll handle it when they ask for me by name.
