I recently got a call from this number. Since I’m local to Brechin, I thought it was worth picking up due to the familiar code. However, the chap on the other end had a proper English accent that was a bit hard to make out. I caught him mentioning something about me being involved in an accident-except I haven’t been in any such situation! Does anyone know how to put an end to these tiresome calls?

I received a rather peculiar phone call today from an individual claiming to be with a legal office regarding an accident that allegedly involved me. They insisted my name was listed on some mysterious database related to accidents. I promptly informed them that I hadn't been in any accident. The caller then suggested it might be an incident at my workplace. Again, I had to clarify that wasn’t the case. To my astonishment, he erupted into laughter, shared a chuckle with someone else on the line, and abruptly disconnected. If this is their idea of fishing for claims, they've certainly missed the mark.

I was hoping to have a chat with my partner about a car accident he might have had a hand in. During the call, I got the impression he was being dishonest, so I ended the conversation abruptly. It seems he was reaching out from a no win, no fee legal firm. Interestingly, he had rung me just a minute prior but then disconnected. When he called back, there was a noticeable pause before he actually spoke. By the way, I’m on the Telephone Preference Service list, so I shouldn’t be getting these calls anyway.
