Got a call from this number claiming to be from BT, saying someone nearby was using my internet. My husband told them the router is upstairs and he couldn’t take the call there. Then, they just ended the call straight away.

I got a call from this number asking whether I owned the house. When I tried to find out who was calling, they just ended the call. Really odd behaviour.

Somebody rang me saying they were from BT about supposed unauthorised activity on my internet. When I asked for a phone number so I could check it was legit, the person on the other end suddenly got all nervous and began fumbling about, could even hear them shuffling papers. I then told them I wasn’t sharing any details and was recording the call because I suspected it was a scam. They just hung up straight away after that.
