Loads of unknown numbers ring me but I never pick up. If it’s something important, they usually send an email, text or leave a voicemail. Watch out tho, scammers are clever and can make their calls seem real by using your info. Never give out any personal stuff straight away, instead try to figure out who’s calling and check online. If it seems legit, call them back using a proper number you find yourself.

I got a call from this number while I was in Indonesia, and the person said she was from Euro Money doing some kind of finance survey. The lady sounded like she had an Indian accent, which was a bit hard for me to understand as English isn’t my first language. About a week earlier, I’d had a similar call from a US number +1 205 671 2124, but I immediately ended that call. During this recent call, she started asking about my job, and it felt like she already knew my position because she mentioned my exact role like it was from my LinkedIn profile. Then she moved on to questions about my job grade and asked about my salary range. I wasn’t comfortable sharing salary info, and even though she tried to make it sound harmless, saying it was just a survey and no need for exact figures, I ended up hanging up since I suspected it might be a scam.
