Loads of unknown numbers ring me but I never pick up. If it’s something important, they usually send an email, text or leave a voicemail. Watch out tho, scammers are clever and can make their calls seem real by using your info. Never give out any personal stuff straight away, instead try to figure out who’s calling and check online. If it seems legit, call them back using a proper number you find yourself.

The accent was quite distinctly Indian, which made it a bit tricky for me to follow the conversation given that I'm not a native English speaker. Just about a week prior, I had a similar call from a US number, +12056712124, which I quickly ended without engaging. The caller began by asking for confirmation about my job-she seemed to have my information straight from LinkedIn as she accurately stated my position. Then she proceeded to inquire about my level within my job and my salary band. I opted not to disclose my salary range, but she insisted it was merely for survey purposes and that she wouldn’t require the exact figure. Feeling uneasy about the whole situation, I decided to hang up, as I suspected it might be a scam.

I saw this number but didn’t pick up since I didn’t know who it was. I reckon it’s one of those scams that make cash by getting you to ring back. They supposedly left a voicemail, but all that was there was just some random noise in the background.
