A chap rang me up at 7:56 am on Saturday, the 13th of March, 2021, claiming to be from BT, insisting there was an issue with my phone line. I couldn't help but wonder - if that were the case, how on earth was he managing to reach me? I promptly informed him that he was nothing but a scam artist and hung up. I've had a word with BT before, and they assured me that they don't make unsolicited calls regarding line troubles. I've taken the precaution of blocking this number now.
