6 monthsI didn’t get a voicemail when I let it ring through to my answerphone. Surely if it was legit, they’d have left some kind of message? Took a look online and all the feedback is pretty bad too. Honestly, I’m relieved I didn’t bother answering to tell them off. I wish I knew how they got hold of my number so I could put an end to these annoying calls.6 yearsJust got a call while I was in Dorset.Dorset7 yearsMy mum got called by someone like this too. Might’ve been one of those call centres in India or something, no idea really.India7 yearsI got a voicemail from someone claiming to be from Visa Secure about a suspicious £600 online purchase. The bloke sounded really legit and told me not to give him any details, but warned me that the bank’s fraud team would ring me within an hour. Not long after, I got a call from abroad but just let it ring out. While all this was happening, I got in touch with my bank who assured me no such payment had gone through.Visa Secure7 yearsGot a robo call saying there’d been a £600 charge on my Visa or Mastercard from abroad. The message was to press 1 to cancel the payment, but there was no one to speak to, just that automated voice. I didn’t press anything and just ended the call. The number showed up with an Ely area code. I looked over my bank app afterwards and everything seemed normal, no suspicious transactions.VisaMastercardElySubmit Your Own Report (01353 704022)
