I initially assumed it was one of those annoying numbers but actually, it’s linked to the alarm system. In my case, if the alarm goes off at work, they get in touch - usually with a manager if I’m listed on the contact sheet. Definitely not a pest caller after all!

Got a call late at night around 11pm from some crime prevention alarm firm out of Wales. They apparently pulled my number from some database or something. Ringing me twice that late is seriously annoying. Hoping they’ll take me off their list, although I worry this might mean getting even more random calls at odd hours. Not very pleased at all.

I received two calls today from this number. The person on the line claimed to be checking our alarm system and mentioned there was a fault. The thing is, we don’t have any such service or faults reported. During the second conversation, they provided an address that wasn’t ours and pressed me for my details so they could ‘update their records’. I declined to share that information and instead contacted our actual alarm monitoring company. They confirmed that everything was functioning properly and that they had been getting similar reports from other clients about this number. Just a heads up, they can be quite persistent if you refuse to give them your address. I mentioned I’d be reaching out to their company directly, but of course, I haven’t followed through with that.
