"Dan" presents himself as a lorry driver offloading his father's welding machine on eBay. Sounds rather fishy, doesn't it? In hindsight, we ought to have suspected something amiss! He's insisting on BACS transfers exclusively, and only returned our PayPal payment once we brought it up via eBay messages. It’s been quite a stressful ordeal, but perhaps he’s keen on maintaining his reputable eBay profile for future schemes.

I thought selling my engine on Craigslist was going to be easy, but now after looking around I’ve come across loads of posts with some bloke called Dan from Scotland. Seems a bit fishy to me!

Tried calling back a number that looked like it was from a Scottish landline, but it actually turned out to be a dodgy foreign mobile used for some kind of scam. Definitely seemed fishy!

The number shows a Scottish prefix but it’s actually a foreign mobile, I reckon it’s from Nigeria. He’s definitely not located in Scotland.

It was supposed to show up as a landline from Scotland, but turns out it's a mobile number from overseas linked to a dodgy scheme. They seem to be peddling fake jukeboxes or even imaginary parrots! It's all rather shady, to say the least.
