My dad, who's quite old, got a call and it freaked me out how they already knew some bits of his card info. Even when he told them his daughter had power of attorney, they didn’t back off. Then they went ahead and got a manager on the line, trying hard to get him to give more details! Seriously, is there no way to put a stop to these leeches??

No idea where these folks are calling from, but if their English instructors get a mark from me, they’re smashing it. Most of the time you can catch what they’re saying, but the second you ask 'WHO ARE YOU?' - bam, they just drop the call. I tried saying something like 'FRAUD DEPARTMENT, PLEASE KEEP THE LINE OPEN, CHECKING YOUR CALL', and guess what? They hung up right away. It’s like they don’t want to be caught or something.

Got a call today at 12:35 from 01349 - 495324, a Dingwall code. It’s the second time in a day I’ve had a ring from a Scottish number like this. When I picked up, nothing but silence on the other end. No option to call back either, so pretty sure it’s just some scammer messing about. Bet they’re trying to look all proper with a kilt on!

Every day without fail, this firm keeps ringing my home phone, asking for some bloke called Mr Wilson. I’ve explained loads of times that no one with that name lives here and told them to remove us from their list, but they don’t stop. I’ve had over 200 calls in just the past three months! These nuisance calls come from some call centre based in India. I’ve tried blocking the number, but they just keep on harassing me. It’s really frustrating and feels like my personal space is being violated.

Just recently, this number rang me claiming to be from some solar energy company, wanted my bank info to ‘help’ with payments. Then last week, it was supposedly hmrc asking for the same details. Scam alert! Someone called me claiming to be from HMRC but that’s not how they usually do things. HMRC only ring you if there's an ongoing issue and they've already sent you a letter first. Never had them just call out of the blue like that!
