Got a call from Bob claiming to be with Carphone Warehouse. I quickly said I’m not a customer and then he just ended the call. Definitely sounds like a scam.

So I got a call from some number that said it was Carphone Warehouse, but it showed as Fisguard on my phone. Didn’t really buy it, so I just ended the call. Then, out of nowhere, another call came through from a London number, and it was the exact same bloke! Pretty clear it was a scam. I asked him how he managed to move from Wales to London so fast, and as soon as I said that, he just hung up on me.

This number rang me, with someone saying they were from Phone House. But honestly, the noise in the background made it clear it was just a call centre, and I reckon it was dodgy. The woman on the line spoke with a heavy foreign accent. She kept going on about some 50% off phone offers and kept pushing me to say if I’ve got a phone contract and how long’s left on it. Didn’t trust it one bit, so I ended the call and blocked the number straight away.
