From the instant I picked up the phone, something felt decidedly off. There was a cacophony of chatter in the background, and it sounded as though a multitude of foreign voices were having a lively conversation. The individual on the line professed to be representing BT, asserting that he was reaching out about our sluggish broadband speed.

There was loads of noise in the background, and after a few hellos, a person with a thick Asian accent said they were from BT internet, talking about my slow connection. I don’t even have BT, but I acted like I did and played along for a while. After a couple of minutes, I told them off (nicely, well, sort of) and ended the call. Haha!

There was loads of noise in the back and a few hellos before this person with a really thick Asian accent said they were calling from bt internet about my slow web connection. I don’t even have bt, but I played along, acting clueless and kept the convo going for a bit. After a couple of minutes, I nicely told him to get lost (in a polite way, of course - haha).
