Received a call purporting to be from EE, yet the caller ID displayed Skelton Garage Services from Easingwold. Quite baffling, really! I can't help but think this is dodgy spam!

Got a call from this number which popped up as J Skelton Garage Services in Easingwold - no idea who they are or why they'd be ringing me, but I picked up anyway. The bloke on the line, who sounded Indian, asked how I was doing and said he was from EE. I told him the caller ID showed a garage, and he insisted he was calling from EE. When I said that sounded dodgy, he just ended the call. Pretty sure it was some sort of scam or phishing attempt.
