I received a call just a short while ago, around five minutes back. The caller claimed to be from some tech support team dealing with computer issues. Naturally, I told them to get lost and hung up. What struck me was how she actually knew our names-where on earth did she get that information from?

What an age-old con! You receive a phone call from someone with a thick accent claiming you’ve got a virus or some imminent threat lurking on your computer. Their aim is to trick you into handing over all your personal info so they can take control of your system... classic PC tech support scam, isn’t it? Best to just disregard these calls altogether! They rang my wife a staggering six times this morning alone!
