so they’ve come up with a fresh trick now, using what looks like a local number. watch out, these scammers are getting sneaky!

I picked up a call from what looked like a number from nearby. When no one spoke on the other end, I ended the call. Almost instantly, that same number rang me again. I answered and a woman’s voice asked why I had cut her off. I asked her name but she wouldn’t say, so I hung up once more. In the last 10 minutes, this number has called me about 11 times.
