Got two calls like this this morning, classic scam from India as usual. Normally when I get these, I grab my super loud referee whistle - dunno why, but they hate it. Sometimes if I just stay quiet, they end up wasting time before hanging up. My partner just chuckles at them, which honestly works best. I wish I had some magic to pop up in their office or wherever they’re working, invisible of course. Imagine if the first thing they saw was one of their mates suddenly banging his head against the desk, knocked out and bleeding everywhere. That’d be priceless.

Typical scam call, nothing new. They fake some story about your internet getting cut off soon because of a virus spreading. Don’t bother listening, just hang up straight away. Total con artists trying to trick you into giving away info.

Got a bloke claiming he was Ben from BT’s tech team, saying my Internet would be cut off within the hour 'cause hackers had been on it for five days. When I didn’t quite catch it and asked him to say again, he just hung up on me! These calls come through about three times a week lately. If I’m free, I mess with them a bit, pretending not to understand and then banging pots near the phone to annoy them. Once, a woman got really rude when I asked for her manager - told me to f*** off straight away!

Honestly, the thick Indian accent gives it away straight away. I have to pick up though, since my parent is very ill. I just can't believe they have no shame, disturbing people like this at such hours. Don't they have any conscience or get any sleep at night?

I got a call from someone with an Indian accent saying they were from BT, threatening to cut off my broadband even though I’m not even with them. They tried the classic trick, passing me onto a bloke called ‘David’ claiming they’d show me all the problems on my PC, then try to remote in and plant some malware before offering a fix. Since I’ve been in IT for ages, I had a bit of fun messing with them. Managed to keep him hanging around for like 10 whole minutes!

I’ve been getting calls from 01268 795 243 constantly these past couple of weeks. They keep telling me someone in Mexico has hacked my phone line and that it’ll be disconnected the next day. It’s been going on for about a fortnight now with no stop. Also, just recently, 01345 785 623 rang me claiming to be BT but when I asked some questions they just went quiet and ended the call.
