Got a call from +44 1344 951892 about a free loft insulation check. They wanted to know if I owned the property. I asked them who they were three times but got no reply, just silence. Definitely steer clear of this number.

Got loads of calls saying they’re from O2 but something about them just doesn’t feel right. Quite dodgy if you ask me.

I didn’t get an answer, and they didn’t bother leaving a voicemail or any sort of message.

I experienced the same issue-had no problems until I switched from Virgin to O2. Now I'm bombarded with these calls all the time; it's quite irritating!

This operation may indeed be a con, but rest assured, it doesn't involve O2 mishandling your contact details. Here's the lowdown: the fraudsters are entering your phone number on the O2 site, hitting the “Forgotten Password” option, which then triggers a code to be sent directly to you. If you unwittingly share that code with the callers claiming to be from O2, they could then try to procure a high-end handset on your behalf, arranging for it to be sent to a different address altogether. Best to stay vigilant!

Bizarrely, they’ve begun casting hexes on me over the phone, which is quite unsettling!

Seems like someone’s putting on an act as O2!

I missed the call as I was tied up with something else, and surprisingly, they didn’t leave a voicemail. When I tried to return the call, it rang a few times, then went silent for a moment before emitting some strange electronic sounds. I have a hunch it’s a spam call of some sort.

I've been receiving calls from this number repeatedly. It's strange because ever since I switched from Virgin to O2, these calls seem to have ramped up significantly.

Received a phone call purporting to be from O2, boasting about some kind of discount. I terminated the call, as it struck me as a potential scam aimed at accessing my O2 account. Best to stay cautious!

I don’t pick up calls from numbers I don’t recognise cause I usually get spam or scam calls, so I just let it ring when it’s not someone in my contacts.

Just got a call about ten minutes back from a chap who said he was with O2. His accent was so thick, I barely caught a single word! I mentioned my confusion and decided to end the call. After a quick search on the number, it appears to be a dodgy racket!

SCAM ALERT: So it appears that for those of us who’ve been faithful customers, they dangle the carrot of discounts. What follows? Two text messages land in your phone. The first one essentially has a security alert, saying they’ll be sending you a code, but don’t let anyone else have it, not even those who might work for them. The second text is the actual code itself, advising you to input it to access your O2 account-code ***** I was shifted over from Virgin to O2, and until now, I’d never encountered any scam attempts. It makes me think that O2 or some shady entity has possibly peddled a bunch of numbers around, and mine's among the ones sold off.

Here’s yet another call supposedly from O2, touting a fantastic 40% discount for loyal clientele! Honestly, it’s baffling. Why can’t they just return to their own country and find a proper job, like the rest of us are doing to earn a living? This is nothing but a scam, plain and simple!

I got a call from someone claiming to be from 02, telling me about some special offer. Feels like a scam to me!

The call was cut off before I could answer, and they didn't leave a message. I'm inclined to think it's a dodgy scam.
