I've been getting repeated calls from someone with an Asian accent, claiming that my insurance on a kitchen gadget has lapsed, which is absurd as I don’t even possess such a thing! I informed him it was clearly a scam call and that I had no interest, but he just carried on regurgitating his pre-prepared lines, so I decided to cut the conversation short by hanging up.

So now they’re saying I’m vulnerable just because of my age, and some foreign bloke from what sounds like a dodgy company is trying to PUSH a medic alarm on me!!! This is obviously a total scam aimed at really elderly and vulnerable folks. They’re probably after personal info or banking details. Really hope people be careful and don’t fall for this rubbish.

My elderly mum, who’s in her eighties and still very lively, received a call from this number. I picked up and asked who was on the line and what they wanted, but they refused to say. I told them I was her secretary and asked for details about the call. The man, speaking with an Indian accent, insisted she wasn’t just an old pensioner and said she qualified for a medical alert device that she supposedly needed. I cut the call off sharp after that. Watch out, this smells like a total scam!

I picked up by mistake and it was clearly a scammer. They started talking about my central heating, so I ended the call pretty quickly.

Got a call early this morning at 8, claimin’ it was about my washing machine insurance. Thing is, I haven’t had any sort of cover on a washer since I had one with D&G, like, 30 years back. Pretty clear this was just someone tryin’ to scam me.

I received an unsolicited phone call at half past twelve today, touting some emergency alert devices like neck alarms and various medical alarms tailored for the elderly or those unwell. At 74, it seems they've managed to dig up my age somehow, despite me being registered on just a single electoral roll. Quite a surprising connection, if you ask me!

They rang up saying my washing machine warranty had expired. Well, it’s been 15 years, so I already knew that was the case!

Got a call from this number today, but it wasn’t about boilers or fridges like I expected. The guy was actually pushing some kind of medical alarm system! Told him I’m not that old to need one yet anyway! Even if I was, my mum got one from the council years back, so no thanks. Feels like a total scam to me!

Number wasn’t in my contacts so I let the voicemail take it. Heard some office background sounds then a bloke said hello, but they hung up without leaving a message. Checked on here and looks like a scam call trying to push boiler cover. Would’ve been a tough sell as I don’t even own one lol. It really winds me up when stuff like this happens, loads of folks get tricked and spill their info without a second thought. I don’t have a whistle nearby, but might just grab my daughter’s old recorder and make some noise to annoy them. This sort of thing should definitely be stopped.

Got a call from a guy who sounded like he was from abroad, but when I asked him to identify himself, the line just went dead silent. 01344935960 This number is a definite scam. They say they’re from a home appliance service in Aberdeen, yet the number is actually linked to Bracknell. They must’ve grabbed our details from some phone listing, because they had no clue about the freezer they wanted us to extend the warranty on for another two years. I told them that paying £7 a month works out to £84 annually, so over 15 years, that’s £1260. With that kind of money, I could easily have bought two brand new fridge freezers. Instead of chatting, they just hung up on me right after. Totally dodgy.

Totally think this is one of those home appliance scams. My fridge warranty isn’t up for renewal yet, so this call didn’t make sense. They already had my name and address, so they must have got my details from somewhere shady.
