Absolutely, we've availed ourselves of this service too. They charged us £19.99 for the call-out, and a lovely young chap turned up to sort out our Dyson. He did find it needed an additional part, which cost us £8, bringing the total to £27.99. Overall, a smashing experience, and I would strongly endorse them!

Received a call supposedly from Dyson, claiming they could service my vacuum for £19.99 since it’s no longer under warranty. Has anyone else encountered this? What do you reckon?

Absolutely appalling firm. They persistently cold-call individuals while completely disregarding the Telephone Preference Service. I’ve heard whispers that their registration details are rather dodgy too. When you put the two together, it strongly suggests that some shady dealings are afoot. I’d strongly advise against allowing any of their representatives into your residence. Don’t be fooled by the glowing review that precedes mine; it’s a common tactic for these questionable companies to manufacture positive feedback to counteract any negative remarks online. Trust your instincts and steer clear of them!

I noticed that Becki has repeated the same message verbatim on another cycling forum, which makes me a bit hesitant to take her suggestion seriously. We reached out to Dyson directly, and they confirmed that it definitely wasn’t them who made the call, so we ended up sending the "pleasant young chap" on his way. Interestingly, she ultimately turned out to be associated with a company named M&C, and bizarrely, the phone call claimed to be from Dyson. Upon digging a little deeper, we uncovered details of similar scam operations in the area-these cold calls claimed to be from Dyson, but Dyson assured us they don’t engage in cold calling at all. Quite a dodgy situation, if you ask me!
