Some bloke rang saying it was about my Lloyds Bank PPI. He claimed they’d send me a cheque but warned my bank would take 40% off it! I just told him that sounded like nonsense and he hung up straight away.

I rang the number back and could hear people chatting in the background, sounded like maybe Pakistani or Indian, or possibly Arabic accents. I kept saying hello a few times but nobody replied. After waiting nearly two minutes, I gave up and hung up. Then I switched my phone off altogether and dialled a different number just to check that the line wasn’t still picked up on the first call.

Just got a call from what sounded like another Indian call centre scam! Such a pain.
