My 73 year old husband got a call from a woman with an Asian accent. I grabbed the phone and told her I’d be reporting it to the fraud police. She told me off for raising my voice! This was like the fifth call we’d had today, each time from a different number.

Got a call on my Virgin home phone from a guy who spoke with a really thick south asian accent, telling me my Virgin broadband was being hacked or something. The number started with 0134444, which I found out is actually a code for Dhampur, Uttar Pradesh in India. Not sure how they managed to hide the real country code, but it felt a bit fishy to say the least. Definitely seemed like some sort of scam to me.

This was definitely someone acting like they were from Virgin Media but it was a scam.

Somebody rang saying they was from Virgin Media tech support, but it didn’t really seem legit to me so i just ended the call.
